Chapter Six

Johnny and Remi arrived back at home tired from the long walk, yet excited at the same time. You would have thought they had just won the super bowl with how they came in throwing high fives around and chest bumping. Remi stopped in the middle of the living room and started to tick and doing the robot to the imaginary music he was beat boxing. Johnny ran straight to the room for the briefcase. Just as he opened up the briefcase, a car rode passed backfiring.

“Hit the deck,” Remi screamed. They thought somebody was shooting at them. They were momentarily terrified. The guys rose from the floor with confidence. Johnny cracked the case open to take another look at his newly acquired funds.

“Oh yeah dude, let’s check out that SD card. It might just be porn or something,” Remi suggested. Johnny grabbed the card and returned to the computer. Remi clicked a few buttons, and the video began to play.

Johnny clicked the pause button. “Are we sure we want to get deeper in this than we already are? I mean we already got the money, we shouldn’t even care what’s on this video.”

Remi clicked the play button again. “You close your eyes then. I got to see what’s on here. The video resumed. “Dude that’s the mayor,” Remi said. Their mouths dropped at the same time as they looked at each other in disbelief.

“Look are you sure the girls are untraceable?” The mayor nervously asked.

“Just trust me. We got these girls from all over. We destroyed all of their passports. Ten brand new girls just came in from Paris, and a couple from Germany,” the unknown man replied.

The mayor slid the briefcase over to the unknown man. “It’s all there just like you asked, $250,000.”

The unknown man opened up the briefcase. “You are making a good investment Mr. Mayor. I’m sure your fellow constituents will be happy with these girls, and you will make this money back in no time, especially dealing with those big spenders you got in your pocket.”

The mayor shook hands with the unknown man and walked out of the store. “Nice doing business with you,” the mayor said as he made his way out the door.

The unknown man called out. “Yo come turn the camera off and grab the memory card out for insurance. Just in case the mayor wants to turn the tables on me, this video will be my ace in the hole.” Smooth emerged from the back of the store and turned the camera off. “Put the memory card in here with the money and stash it here until the drop is complete,” the unknown man ordered.

Smooth looked over at the store’s owner. “What about the old man? Don’t you think he has saw and heard too much?” “

Don’t worry about him, I got him on the payroll. Just stash the case here like I said. Let’s go I got things to do.”

“That’s the dude right there that gave me the briefcase,” Johnny said.
